July 09
Synapse Microcurrent was very much in evidence at UK Strongest Man competition which was held at Whitstable Rugby Club on the 26th July.

Implementation of Synapse Micro-current technology into training regimes improves overall muscle performance giving athletes a competitive edge over their opponents, reduce the risk of injury and speed up their recovery after such gruelling workouts and events.

Athletes were tested on strength, power and endurance in events such as the Farmers Walk, Overhead Press, Tyre Flip and the mighty Atlas Stones.
Around 500 people attended the event including 3 of the top strongmen in England: Terry Hollands (Britain’s Strongest Man 2007, 3rd in World’s Strongest Man 2008), Laurence Shahlaei (2nd Britain’s Most Powerful Man 2008 & Britain’s Strongest Man contender) and Darren Sadler (Britain’s Strongest Man contender & World’s Strongest Man contender)

The overall winner was Paul Wood from Whitstable who will now qualify for a place in the 2009 World’s Strongest Man 105kg category later this year. Earlier this year he won the Southern qualifier for the 2009 England’s Strongest Man 105kg and is also aiming to participate in the 2009 Britain’s Strongest Man 105kg. 2nd place was Paul Cater from Portsmouth and 3rd place was Simon Cowdrey from Pangbourne in Reading.

Wound Healing

A gentleman with a chronic non-healing wound is providing a possible reason as to why this type of problem wound will not heal. The tissue viability specialist treating the case comments that ‘his graph shows that when he stops with the Synapse treatment the line goes up (indicating that the wound is deteriorating) and when we recommence with the Synapse treatment, the line goes down indicating healing. This gives a very definite indication that he will not heal unless he has the Synapse treatment’. The specialist wound clinic are intending to take the wound to full healing to demonstrate this fact. This case suggests that electricity, inherent within the body, has a vital role to play in tissue repair and this biological circuitry may be disrupted or halted when tissue is damaged. The application of the patented Synapse’s protocol suggests that this treatment reignites this process.

John Smiths Grand National Synapse x 3

At the time of going to press three horses, likely to run in Saturdays John Smith’s Grand National have been treated using Synapse’s patented tendon technology. Dr David Chapman-Jones comments ‘We suspect that a cause of tendon problems in humans and racehorses is reduced cellular activity in tendon cells resulting in degenerative type pathology making the tendon structure vulnerable to breakdown. In addition to treating tendons once a problem has occurred the cell stimulating treatment regime is now being used to help prevent tendon problems which is a very positive advancement.
Treated horses can come back with tendons better than ever so I would not be at all concerned with a treated tendon causing a problem in a race like the National.

Newcastle Falcons Powered by Synapse Microcurrent.

Back in Jan 2009, Newcastle Falcons purchased over 70 Synapse microcurrent units.
Dave Thompson, Newcastle Falcons Chairman said “ There is even greater pressure on professional clubs now. With proposed smaller budgets and squads, we need to ensure that players are better prepared, train more efficiently and generally looked after better. We are constantly looking for the best ways of achieving this for our players and from what we’ve seen, Synapse microcurrent provides significant advantages in these areas.

Steve Bates, Newcastle Falcons Director Of Rugby said “I totally believe in this technology. It’s like nothing else out there”

Dr. David Chapman-Jones - Synapase’s Director of Medicine & Science said “ We have been particularly impressed with Newcastle Rugby’s vision and the positive reaction of their medical team. Many individual athletes buy our products and have independent success, however experience has shown optimum results are achieved when there is a greater knowledge of the technology from the medical/fitness teams who then manage the integration of our technology into players regimes.

John Gildersleeve, Chief Executive Synapse Microcurrent said “Our patented micro-current technology accelerates healing, improves post exercise recovery and boosts performance. We congratulate Newcastle on their excellent recent run of form and hope our technology has been a contributor in this.

"Can Electricity Mend My Broken Neck"
Dr Chapman-Jones first investigated the idea of helping spinal injury victims in experiments in his laboratory. He says: 'I put two pieces of separated nerve tissue in a dish and then subjected the dish to microcurrent using electricity equivalent to one-millionth the power of a torch battery. Not only did the the nerve tissue regenerate and join, but the fibres in the nerve joined correctly.
