How do the Synapse micro-current units differ from other electrical treatment devices?
In simple terms it is the level or strength of the current used that differentiates one electrical treatment device from another. Synapse micro-current operates at similar levels to the body's natural electrical systems. In general terms micro-current uses a very low level of current, operating at cellular level.
This is in contrast to devices using stronger intensity that can cause muscle contractions as a cause of mechanical effect.
In our body cellular activity and intercellular communication is regulated (chemically) by electricity and it is the efficiency of this communication process which is key to a normal physiological state.The supposition behind Synapse micro-current treatments is that damaged or disrupted (electro-chemical) pathways (caused by illness, injury and extreme conditions such as intense exercise) can be reignited.

Synapse's patented programs are specifically based on the understanding that different cell types respond to different treatment parameters. Cellular activity is sensitive to the treatment and laboratory studies have demonstrated that cells can be turned 'off' as well as 'on'. Therefore, if treatment parameters are not accurately delivered there is the potential to have a detrimental effect. If programs are not within specific parameters we would question the efficacy.

We would claim our patented programs are quite specific and proven - the result of nearly 15 years research.
The programs are specific - ie the tendonworks unit is different to the recovery unit. We know and have proved that cells behave very differently, they are also very sensitive to the treatment - we have been able to turn cells 'off' as well as 'on' so if the treatment parameters are not accurately delivered they can have a detrimental effect - the same goes for the treatment time.
We accept we are not at the optimum by any means but we know to be most effective it needs to be within our parameters.
If programs are not within these parameters we would question the efficacy.
Same goes for the accuracy of the electronics and design - Our units are accurate to 0.001 % Again less accuracy = less efficacy.
Finally in addition to your acknowledged ease of use our units have a patented solution to the very 'real world' problem of skin resistance.
We have carried out a large amount of research into skin resistance. Healthy skin, different ethnicity, different conditions all give varying problems to delivering precise current to the area below the skin surface. Our units indicate when they are not delivering the programs accurately or effectively. Once notified, remedial action can be taken such as skin preperation, until the treatment can be delivered. To illustrate - you could attach a competitors electrode to a piece of wood/ metal/ car and it would indicate it was delivering it's alleged program. in short you're completely in the dark as to what it's doing.
